If it rains: how to prepare an outdoor wedding

A ceremony under the trees or dinner under the stars are among the loveliest moments of a wedding. To enjoy them without one eye on the sky, you need a plan B from the start.

Plan B isn't a worse plan

Many couples think of plan B as what happens if everything goes wrong. It's the other way round: a good plan B is as carefully thought out as plan A, with its own décor and layout. If you use it, your wedding is still your wedding.

What to have ready

Parts of the day that can move

Not everything has to go indoors. Sometimes it's enough to move the ceremony onto a porch and save the drinks for when the rain clears. At Can Riera de la Pineda, every part of the day has its own covered space; at Mas Cufí, the wooden porch hosts the party and, if it rains, everything else; at Masia Urbisol, a second hall can be used for the ceremony or drinks.

See it beforehand

Plan B can be seen in 3D too. If a render is prepared of the covered space with your décor, you know how the wedding will look either way, and the decision on the day is much easier.
